The standard ceiling-mounted forest of booms that suspend medical supply units and surgical lights increase the risk of infection: they collect pathogens, which can then be shaken onto the surgical site, and they impede surgical air flow effectivity. It is time to remove them.
Removal of surgical light booms.
Our in-ceiling surgical lights automatically illuminate the surgical site. This is the first step for the complete removal of all booms from the OR – eliminating associated infection hazards for patients.
Elimination booms near the operating table.
In the DIOS OR, devices can receive supply connections like power, medical gases, and communications from the table to eliminate boom-mounted supply units near the table.
Clearing booms from the room periphery.
Outside the surgical area of focus, devices such as anaesthesia, cardio-pulmonary support, dialyses, etc., receive their supply connections from the floor under the device – clearing the area of boom-mounted supply units.
Shortened time-to-wake after anaesthesia. Our operating table system prevents drops in the patient’s core temperature during surgery. Resulting optimal temperatures reduce risks of infection.
Minimal access for minimal pathogens. Our real-time search and pass-through system removes the need for outside staff to come into the operating room, eliminating the risk of introducing infectious particles.
Germ-free self-sterilizing solid surfaces. Our solid surfaced walls and ceiling prevent bacteria and fungal spores from hiding in microscopic porosities. Furthermore, a special formula incorporated into the material results in surfaces that sterilize themselves.
Truely sterilizable. Routinely, the DIOS OR sterilizes itself by introducing a sterilization gas into the room. This total room sterilization eliminates the potential contamination of surfaces by superbugs.
Automized floor cleaning. Combined with our self-sterilising surfaces, our floor cleaning robot eliminates the risk of cleaning personnel contaminating the OR and keeps the room clean.
